Day 1

Vancouver – Sunshine Coast

Highlights of the day:

  • Take the BC ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale Ferry terminal at the Sunshine Coast, enjoying a 40-minute trip of beautiful scenery.
  • Explore Gibsons Landing. Down the hill against the ocean, Gibson’s Landing is the busiest place on Sunshine Coast for local food and cultures. Take a walk along the long pier, stroll along the waterfront walkway, or wander along Marine Drive to discover lots of cute shops, art galleries and local craft beers.
  • Check out the variety of local painting, pottery, and other arts studios and galleries in Roberts Creek.
  • Explore Downtown Sechelt and Learn about Indigenous Culture.
  • Paddle from Porpoise Bay Provincial Park in the summer or go skiing or snowshoeing at Dakota Ridge in the winter.

Day 2

Sunshine Coast – Powell River

Highlights of the day:

  • Explore Halfmoon Bay and hike to Smuggler’s Cove, one of the most scenic places in this area.
  • Paddle at the Pender Harbour
  • Go hiking in Egmont and see the tidal rapids and whirlpools at Skookumchuck Narrows, one of the most popular things to do on the Sunshine Coast.
  • Take a ferry from Earls Cove to Powell River, exploring the Historic Townsite District.

Day 3

Powell River – Nanaimo

Sunshine Coast Tour Day 3

Highlights of the day:

  • Walk on the white sand beach at the Savary Island through Lund by water taxi.
  • Take a BC ferry from Powell River to Comox on Vancouver Island.
  • Visit Cumberland Museum and Archives to learn the history of Canada’s largest Chinese communities established 1888 at this used-to-be coal-mining town.
  • Visit Englishman River Falls Provincial Park
  • Go shopping at the famous Parkville Farms & Farmers Markets
  • Arrive Nanaimo, explore the Nanaimo Bar Trail in the evening.

Day 4

Nanaimo – Vancouver

  • Join a whale watching tour to experience the wonder of the ocean.
  • Take the BC ferry back to Vancouver.
